Subsea Lighting Dimmer

The SSD-1000 is a 2 channel, 500 watt per channel, 120Vac dimmer designed and built as a direct replacement for dimmers used in Perry Slingsby, Triton ROVs and other subsea or surface applications.

This dimmer was engineered for maximum reliability and to withstand subsea pressures. It includes mosfet power stages, microprocessor control, overload and short circuit protection. Lighting level is controlled using a 0-10vdc input and control power is 12 to 24vdc. All power and signal circuits are electrically isolated.

The SSD-1000 can operate in three modes 1) Halogen dimming 2) ROS Q-LEDIII (LED) dimming mode 3) HID on/off switch mode.

This allows you to use our SSD-1000 to cover all of you lighting control needs.

The Power House

The PWM-500-12 provides a full 500 watts of dimming or motor speed control at 12 volts DC. Up to ten, 50 watt, MR16 halogen lamps can be controlled with the linear sweep rotary control. The PWM (pulse width modulation) period has been optimized to eliminate annoying halogen filament ring, reduce LED flicker and minimize switching losses. Thermal overload protection assures safe operation. The PWM-500-12 is fully potted for protection from the harshest environments.

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) DC dimmers & speed control

Our PWM-20 provides up to 240 watts of dimming using 12 or 24 volt DC supplies.

The light level is controlled by one momentary contact (up) switch and one momentary contact (down). Pressing and holding the desired control ramps up or down the light level. The set level is stored in the on board microcontroller so that when the lights are turned off ( a quick tap of either the up or down switch) ramps the level down to off or if the lights are off ramps them up to the stored set level. The module has temperature sensing to automatically turn the lights off if an over load condition causes the module to over heat.

The PWM-20 can also control the speed of small 12 and 24 volt DC motors with full load current draws of up to 120 watts.
